Can you help Robinson solve these problems ?
The ship that was carrying me lies 300m offshore. I can swim 100m in 28 seconds. In one day I can only swim 2.4 km. Each journey I can bring back 27 kg of goods. I know that there are 810 kg of goods left on the ship. Due to the tides I am able only to swim between 11:15am and 3:55pm each day. I do not swim on the day after Tuesday.
1. How far away from the island is the ship ?
2. How long does it take Robinson to bring back one load of goods ?
3. How many journeys can he make in one day ?
4. On which day does he not make journeys to the ship ?
5. How many hours and minutes does he have to swim in a day ?
6. How many journeys does he need to make to bring all the goods back to shore ?
